Li Mingxiang Attends Opening Ceremony of the Webinar for Cadres of Liberia’s CDC

Beijing, October 19th--Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the webinar for cadres of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of Liberia. On behalf of Minister Song Tao and the IDCPC, Li congratulated on the opening of the webinar, and mainly briefed on the main content and world significance of the third volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China as well as China's experience and achievements in promoting epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development in a coordinated way. Li said that the CPC is willing to work with the CDC to implement the results of the Extraordinary China-Africa Summit on Solidarity Against COVID-19, deepen the exchange of experience in state governance, jointly safeguard multilateralism, and promote the building of a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.

In his speech, CDC Chairman Mulbah Morlu spoke highly of China’s major strategic results in the fight against the epidemic under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, reiterated Liberia’s firm adherence to the One China principle, and expressed willingness to further learn from the CPC’s experience in coordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, deepen the cooperation between the two parties and the two countries in various fields, and continuously lift the relations between the two countries to a new level.

The three-day webinar will be attended by more than 30 mid-level and senior cadres of the CDC. The two sides will conduct exchanges on topics such as the promotion of resumption of work and production under normalized epidemic prevention and control measures, poverty alleviation and China-Africa relations in the new era.
