Guo Yezhou Meets with Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Newly-appointed Nepalese Ambassador to China

Beijing, November 3rd—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, the newly-appointed Nepalese Ambassador to China.

Guo welcomed Pandey on his assumption of his new post in China. He said, last year, General Secretary Xi Jinping paid a historic visit to Nepal, elevating relations between the two countries to new highs. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Nepalese side to take the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges between political parties, advance practical cooperation in various areas under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen exchanges and mutual learning in state governance and administration, and constantly push China-Nepal relations forward.

Pandey said, the Nepalese side attaches high importance to developing its relations with China, firmly adheres to the One China policy, and is willing to work with China to reinforce exchanges and cooperation between the two parties and countries, promote the high-quality development of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, so as to forge a community with a shared future for Nepal and China.
