Guo Yezhou Attends the Fourth International Forum on the Belt and Road Initiative and Global Governance

Beijing, November 28th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Co-Chairman of the Council of the Silk Road Think Tank Association (SRTA), attended and addressed here on the afternoon the fourth International Forum on the Belt and Road Initiative and Global Governance.

Guo introduced the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, stressing that China will soon embark on a new journey toward a modern socialist country. He said, efforts should be made to jointly grasp the new opportunities for high quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation brought by the new development paradigm, jointly explore the new paths for reform and innovation of global governance blazed by high quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation, and jointly search for new thoughts for high quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Participants made in-depth exchanges on strengthening multilateral cooperation mechanism against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, pushing for the improvement and upgrading of global governance, and jointly building a global community of health for all.

The meeting was co-organized by the SRTA and Fudan University. Jiao Yang, Secretary of CPC Committee of Fudan University, and others delivered speeches at the meeting. Representatives of think tanks and enterprises from countries and regions including China, Indonesia, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Cambodia were present.
