Shen Beili Attends the Video Conference of China-CEE Countries Business Dialogue

Beijing, December 8th—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), attended and addressed here today the Video Conference of China-Central and Eastern European (CEE) Countries Business Dialogue.

Centering on the new development stage, the new development concept, and the new development paradigm, Shen expounded on the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee to the foreign participants. She pointed out, China's measures, including further expanding opening-up and strengthening technological innovation, will provide greater market, cooperation, and development opportunities for countries in the world, including CEE countries. The Dialogue is a platform for exchanges, mutual learning, consultation, cooperation, and resource sharing between the political, business and academic circles of China and CEE countries through inter-party communication channels. It is an effective window for promoting the industrial and sub-national cooperation between China and Europe.

The foreign participants spoke highly of China's outstanding contributions to maintaining the stability of the global industrial chain by actively promoting economic recovery. They said, the 14th Five-Year Plan will provide more opportunities for the practical cooperation between China and CEE countries.

The Dialogue was co-organized by China Economic Cooperation Center and the chambers of commerce from eight CEE countries, with the theme of "Gather the Business Community's Strength and Share New Opportunities of China-CEEC Cooperation in the New Era". Xu Datong, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province; Janusz Piechociński, former Deputy Prime Minister, former Minister of Economy, former President of the Polish People's Party and President of Polish-Asian Chamber of Commerce; István Ujhelyi, former Vice Chairman of the Hungarian Parliament and Vice Chair of European Parliament's Committee on Transport and Tourism; Robert Simoncic, Head of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. More than 60 participants including the representatives from the chambers of commerce and entrepreneurs from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Croatia as well as the heads of relevant departments including the foreign affairs offices, federations of industry & commerce, and friendship associations of Shanghai, Shanxi, Hunan, Shaanxi and Ningxia and other provinces and cities attended the conference.
