December 11th—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Felix Plasencia, newly-appointed Venezuelan Ambassador to China.

Shen welcomed Plasencia on his assumption of the new post in China, spoke positively of the relations between the two parties and countries and bilateral anti-epidemic cooperation, and mainly introduced the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. She said, the CPC is willing to work with the United Socialist Party of Venezuela to continue to strengthen exchanges, deepen strategic cooperation and constantly push China-Venezuela comprehensive strategic partnership for new progress.

Plasencia thanked the Chinese side for the long-term support and help, and said he will actively advance exchanges between the ruling parties of the two countries and lay an even more solid political foundation for deepening the strategic cooperation in all areas between the two countries.
