Guo Yezhou Meets with British Ambassador to China Caroline Wilson

Beijing, December 17th—GuoYezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Caroline Wilson, British Ambassador to China.

Guo welcomed Wilson on her assumption of the new post in China, and briefed her on the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. He stressed that both China and the UK should well implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders of the state, focus on cooperation opportunities, properly deal with differences, and work together to cope with global challenges. The CPC is willing to enhance exchanges with main political parties of the UK to push China-UK relations for healthy and stable development.

Speaking positively of China’s economic and social development achievements and its new development plan, Wilson expressed the readiness to strengthen communication and dialogue with the Chinese side, and continuously tap into cooperation potential, as well as the willingness to continue to support the inter-party exchanges and cooperation between the two countries to contribute to the development of UK-China relations.
