Zhu Rui Attends Opening Ceremony of Webinar for Cadres of Union Pour la Repubilque (UPR) of Mauritania

Beijing, January 13th—Zhu Rui, Assistant Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed here today the opening ceremony of webinar for cadres of Union Pour la Repubilque (UPR) of Mauritania. Haraman, Vice Chairman of the UPR attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Zhu spoke positively of the relations between the UPR and the CPC, and the relations between the two countries. He said the CPC is willing to, together with the UPR, give play to the political guiding role of intra-party exchanges, deepen exchanges in experience of state governance and administration, promote the integration of the development strategies of the two countries and push China-Mauritania relations for continuous development. Zhu also mainly introduced the achievements and experience of the CPC since its founding 100 years ago, and the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

Haraman warmly congratulated on the 100th anniversary of the CPC, the successful convening of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and the wrapping up of the 13th Five-Year Plan. Haraman thanked China for supporting Mauritania’s fight against the COVID-19, and stressed that the UPR is willing to reinforce exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, learn the experience in areas including agricultural development, rural revitalization, health and coping with climate change from the CPC, so as to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and benefit the two peoples.
