Wang Yajun Meets with New Japanese Ambassador to China Hideo Tarumi

Beijing, January 14th—Wang Yajun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Hideo Tarumi, the new Japanese Ambassador to China.

Wang welcomed Hideo Tarumi on his assumption of the new post in China, saying that guided by the leaders of the two countries, the current China-Japan relations have been brought back to a normal development track. Both sides should well implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, increase political mutual trust in a solid way, properly handle differences, continuously deepen exchanges between political parties and in various fields, and enhance cooperation in pandemic control as well as in international and regional affairs, so as to build the China-Japan relations that meet the needs of the new era.

Speaking positively of the important role played by exchanges between political parties in promoting the improvement and development of Japan-China relations, Hideo Tarumi expressed Japan’s readiness to conduct sincere communication with China, properly handle differences and frictions, and enhance exchanges and cooperation in all fields, in a bid to push Japan-China relations for stable development.
