Beijing, February 5th—Zhu Rui, Assistant Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Ali Obaid Ali Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to China, at request.

Zhu congratulated on the 50th anniversary of the founding of UAE and spoke positively of the fruitful achievements in cooperation between China and UAE in politics, economy and trade and the fight against the COVID-19. He said the Chinese side is willing to strengthen political mutual trust, mutual learning in concept and strategic integration with the UAE through intra-party channels, and push China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership for greater progress. Zhu introduced the achievements and experience of the CPC since it was founded 100 years ago, the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the spirit of the special address by President Xi Jinping at the World Economic Forum Virtual Event of the Davos Agenda, and China’s principled position on Xinjiang-related issues.

Dhaheri congratulated China on the 100th anniversary of the CPC, and spoke highly of the great achievements the Chinese people have made under the leadership of the CPC. He stressed that the concept of state governance and development strategies of our two countries are highly compatible, and called China an indispensible partner for UAE’s development in the next 50 years. The UAE side is willing to reinforce communication with the CPC, promote the strategic integration between UAE Centennial 2071 and China’s Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 and the second centenary goal. Dhaheri reiterated that the UAE will continue to firmly support China on issues related to Xinjiang, Hongkong and human rights.
