Qian Hongshan Holds a Video Call with Andrey Klimov, Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party

Bejing, February 8th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call here today with Andrey Klimov, Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party. They exchanged views on the relations between the two parties and bilateral major exchange activities in 2021.

Qian Hongshan said, amid the COVID-19, China-Russia relations have enjoyed continuous high-level development, and the institutionalized exchanges and cooperation between the ruling parties have become an important channel for implementing the consensus of the two heads of state and deepening strategic communication and coordination. The CPC is willing to join hands with the United Russia Party to take the opportunity of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation to continuously strengthen institutionalized exchanges between the two parties and actively make contributions to the development of the China-Russia relations in the new era and bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Klimov congratulated on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and said that after two decades of development, the relationship between the two parties has become a model for the relations between major political parties in the world. The United Russia Party is willing to further intensify friendly exchanges with the CPC, and strengthen strategic coordination and cooperation between the two sides, so as to promote China-Russia relations for constant and greater development.
