Beijing, March 17th-Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call here on the afternoon with Iratxe García Pérez, President of the European Parliament's Socialists and Democrats (S&D) Group.

Speaking positively of China-Europe relations, Qian said that the CPC attaches great importance to long-term exchanges with the S&D Group and is willing to continuously deepen party-to-party relations and friendly cooperation so as to jointly promote the sound and stable development of China-Europe relations.

Iratxe thanked China for its support to Europe in fighting the COVID-19 and appreciated China's achievements in sustainable development. She said that the S&D Group is ready to further strengthen dialogue and exchanges with the CPC and play a positive role in the development of Europe-China relations.
