The Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Communist Party of Canada Hold Exchange Activity Themed on “Review the History of the Party and Accumulate Faith”

Beijing, April 13th—The Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Communist Party of Canada held an exchange activity themed on “review the history of the party and accumulate faith”. Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), and Elizabeth Rowley, Leader of the Communist Party of Canada attended the activity and made keynote speeches.

Guo congratulated on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Canada, and introduced the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035. Guo also showed a short video on commemoration of Dr. Norman Bethune, which was made by young CPC members of the IDCPC. Guo said, the CPC is willing to inherit the traditional friendship with the Communist Party of Canada, enhance communication and cooperation, and make new contributions to promoting the friendship between the two peoples, world peace and development.

Rowley spoke highly of China’s huge achievements in revolution and construction made under the leadership of the CPC since its founding 100 years ago. She said the Communist Party of Canada is willing to carry forward Comrade Bethune’s humanitarian and internationalism spirit, deepen the traditional friendship with CPC, and make joint efforts to safeguard the welfare of the working class and international fairness and justice.
