Beijing, April 27th—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today on the morning the opening ceremony of “China-Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Youth Exchange” Discussion Series Session and delivered a speech via video link. Antonio Cafiero, Vice President of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties in LAC also attended the opening ceremony and made a speech.

Shen said that she was very delighted to meet with the youngsters in China and LAC countries at the online meeting to deepen the friendship and seek mutual development for the youth in LAC countries and China before the National Youth Day of China. The young are the inheritors and promoters of China-LAC friendship. With the youth as the bond, we hope to enhance the mutual understanding, exchanges and mutual learning between China and LAC countries, so as to create a new pattern of the comprehensive and cooperative partnership between China and Latin America and the Caribbean.

Cafiero congratulated the CPC on the 100th anniversary of its founding, spoke highly of the great achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC, and expressed his willingness to promote youth exchanges between Latin American political parties and the CPC to build a community with a shared future for China and LAC countries.

More than 250 youth representatives from the political parties, governments, think tanks, media, social media and other sectors in more than 10 LAC countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Peru, participated in this online dialogue session.
