Song Tao Attends the Photo Exhibition Commemorating the Third Anniversary of General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Jong Un’s First Visit to China upon Invitation

Beijing, May 7th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today a photo exhibition commemorating the third anniversary of General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) Kim Jong Un's first visit to China upon invitation. The exhibition was held by the Embassy of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in China and leading officials from the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other relevant departments attended the photo exhibition.

Song said, in recent years, General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Kim Jong Un have held important meetings on many occasions, opening a new historical chapter in China-DPRK relations. China is willing to work with the DPRK to firmly implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and countries as a way to push China-DPRK relations to a new level, bring more benefits to the two countries and two peoples, and make positive contributions to regional peace, stability, development and prosperity.

Ri Ryong Nam, DPRK Ambassador to China, said the historic meeting between the top leaders of the two parties opened a golden era in the history of DPRK-China friendly relations. DPRK is ready to work with China to follow the lofty will of the top leaders of the two parties and continue to work together to promote the constant development of bilateral friendly relations that conforms to the will and fundamental interests of the two peoples.
