Beijing, May 31st—Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed here today the virtual seminar on promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind between Chinese and Egyptian political parties and the second forum on state governance and development. The event was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Egypt. Liao Liqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, made a keynote speech at the event. Essam Abdel-Aziz Sharaf, former Prime Minister of Egypt, Al-Sayed al-Sherif, former First Deputy Speaker of Egypt's Parliament, leaders of 10 political parties, the head of the Coordination's Committee of Party's Youth Leaders and Politicians, and representatives of think tanks from China and Egypt attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

Zhu said, since the establishment of diplomatic relations 65 years ago, the relationship between the two countries has withstood the test of the changing international situation and has become a model of unity and cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win results between China and Arab states and between China and Africa. In recent years, under the leadership of President Xi Jinping and President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership has achieved high-level and rapid development. China and Egypt have achieved fruitful results in the Belt and Road cooperation. The unity of China and Egypt in the fight against the epidemic demonstrates the brotherhood of sharing weal and woe between the two countries, and interprets the connotation of the era of building a community with a shared future for mankind. The CPC is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Egyptian political parties, give full play to the advantages of inter-party exchanges, and jointly build a China-Egypt community with a shared future and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Liao expressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt, the two countries have always supported each other and moved forward together. The comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries has long been at the forefront of relations between China and countries in the region. President Xi and President Al-Sisi have reached a strategic consensus to build China-Egypt relations into a pilot model for the China-Arab and China-Africa community with a shared future. China is willing to work with Arab and African countries including Egypt to jointly promote the building of a China-Arab and China-Africa community with a shared future.

The Egyptian side warmly congratulated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, and fully affirmed the great development achievements the Chinese people have made under the leadership of the CPC. Highly appreciating China's long-term and firm support for the just cause of the Arab people with the Palestinian issue as a main one, they spoke positively of China-Egypt relations, especially the two countries’ anti-epidemic cooperation. They also expressed their willingness to work with China to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields within the framework of the Belt and Road cooperation between Egypt and China, so as to achieve mutual benefit, win-win results and common development, and jointly promote the establishment of a multi-polar world with fairness, peace and sustainable development.
