Beijing, June 3rd—At the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee, 20 diplomatic envoys in China from the Arab states including Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, and Tunisia, and representatives from the Office of the League of Arab States in China went to Xibaipo and Zhengding in Hebei Province to visit the Xibaipo Memorial Hall, the former site of the CPC Central Committee, and Tayuanzhuang of Zhengding County, and participate in the theme exchange of “talking about centenary history for a better future”. Sun Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Wang Dongfeng, Secretary of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee attended the events and delivered speeches.

Song noted that Xibaipo is one of the sacred sites of China revolution, the starting place for the CPC Central Committee to move into Beijing, and a cradle for the birth of the New China. Zhengding is the place where General Secretary Xi Jinping once served as the secretary of the CPC Zhengding County Committee. With sincere and genuine feelings for the people, the spirit of the times featuring reform and innovation, and long-term strategic vision, General Secretary Xi Jinping has led Zhengding on the great road of reform and opening-up to make the people wealthy and the country prosperous and explored and practiced many important ideas in Zhengding. Song focused on introducing the great achievements and successful experience gained since the founding of the CPC 100 years ago, especially after the 18th National Congress of the CPC. He stressed that the Central Committee of the CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, upholding the people-centered development philosophy, has guided the whole Party and the Chinese people to make historical achievements including winning the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, achieving a complete victory in its fight against poverty, and building a moderately prosperous society in all fronts soon, thus making people’s senses of fulfillment, happiness and safety greatly strengthened. At current, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the Chinese nation has made great strides toward the great rejuvenation and will also make greater contributions to the cause of world peace and development and human progress.

Song expressed that China and Arab states are good partners sharing mutual benefits and good brothers sharing weal and woe. General Secretary Xi Jinping has proposed the establishment of China-Arab strategic partnership and the building of the China-Arab community with a shared future to guide the China-Arab relations. Under new situations, the CPC stands ready to work with parties of the Arab states to implement the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and leaders of Arab countries, strengthen strategic communication, deepen exchange of experience in state governance, seek the alignment of the “14th Five Year Plan” and the Long Range Goals for 2035 of China and the mid-to-long-term development strategies and plans of Arab states, promote the practical cooperation between China and Arab states such as the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and work together to build a China-Arab community with a shared future in the new era.

Wang offered a hearty welcome to the diplomatic envoys of Arab states in China to visit Xibaipo and Zhengding of Hebei Province for the theme exchange on the CPC history. Wang Dongfeng expressed that Hebei is the land of revolution and heroes and is always closely connected with the centenary endeavor of the CPC. The red land witnessed the convocation of the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee of the CPC and the birth of the grand blueprint of the New China. General Secretary Xi Jinping has once worked in Zhengding, so some important concepts of Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era are consistent with his explorations and thinking in Zhengding. Since the 19th National Congress of the CPC, General Secretary Xi Jinping has paid several visits to Hebei, and personally promoted the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's coordinated development, the planning and development of the Xiong’an New Area, the preparations for Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games and other major state affairs. At present, guided by Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chines Characteristics for a New Era, Hebei Province has achieved rapid socio-economic development and is willing to leverage its regional advantages to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in such fields as trade and economy with Arab states, thus making positive contributions to the development of China-Arab strategic partnership.

Diplomatic envoys of Arab states in China expressed warm congratulations on the centenary of the founding of the CPC. They said that through this visit, they have deepened the understanding of the CPC history, and they showed great respect to General Secretary Xi Jinping as they profoundly felt his growth and endeavor as the leader of both the CPC and the Chinese people. They highly applauded that in the 100 years after the founding of the CPC, particularly since the18th National Congress of the CPC, China has made impressive development achievements under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and they believed that the CPC will lead China to new glories. They noted that China’s successful experience is of great reference to Arab countries. They will actively boost exchange of experience in state governance between their own parties and the CPC, continue to firmly support each other on issues concerning each other’s core interests, and strengthen cooperation in various fields such as the fight against the pandemic and the Belt and Road cooperation, so as to promote the Arab-China strategic partnership to achieve new development.
