Beijing, June 3rd—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee held a video call here today with Bruno Amoussou, President of the Progressive Union of Benin, and Abdoulaye Bio Tchané, General Secretary of Republican Bloc of Benin. Peng Jingtao, Chinese Ambassador to Benin and Simon Pierre Adovelande, Beninese Ambassador to China attended the meeting online.

Li noted that this video call marks the establishment of relations between the CPC and the the Progressive Union and the Republican Bloc of Benin. As China is celebrating the centenary of the CPC, the establishment of relations between China and Benin’sruling parties is of special significance. Based on the four principles of intra-party exchanges, the CPC stands ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the ruling parties of Benin to promote the indepth development of Chian-Benin relations. Li specially introduced the great achievements gained since the founding of the CPC 100 years ago, and invited Benin’s ruling parties to attend the centenary celeration of the CPC. Li expressed that China is willing to work with Benin to implement the important concensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Patrice Talon, and provide wisdom and strength for the development of China-Benin relations and for a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.

Amoussou and Tchané extended warm congratulations on the centenary of the establishment of the CPC, and expressed their admiration for the great development fruits China has achieved under the guidance of the CPC. The ruling parties of Benin stand ready to take the establishment of relations with the CPC as an opportunity to learn experience in party construction, poverty alleviation, development of youth and women and other respects from China in an indepth way, and further step up the development of relations and anti-pandemic cooperation between the two countries and ruling parties, thus jointly building a much closer China-Africa community with a shared future with the Chinese side.
