Li Mingxiang Holds a Video Call with Eric Dodo Bounguendza, Secretary General of Gabonese Democratic Party

Beijing, June 8th—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee held a video call here today with Eric Dodo Bounguendza, Secretary General of the Gabonese Democratic Party.

Li noted that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the relations between the CPC and the Gabonese Democratic Party. Regardless of the changes in the international situation in the past 40 years, the two parties have maintained friendly exchanges, which has promoted the development of state-to-state relations. Li specially introduced the great achievements gained since the founding of the CPC 100 years ago, and invited the Gabonese Democratic Party to attend the centenary celebration of the CPC. Li expressed that the Chinese side is willing to work with the Gabonese side to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Ali Bongo Ondimba, establish a deep integration between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Emerging Gabon Strategic Plan, and promote China-Gabon comprehensive cooperative partnership to a new high.

Bounguendza extended warm congratulations on the centenary of the establishment of the CPC, and expressed his admiration for China’s great development achievements under the leadership of the CPC. He spoke highly of the fruitful results of friendly exchanges and cooperation between Cabon and China over the past 40 years since the establishment of the relations between the two parties. He expressed that the Gabonese side is willing to learn from the CPC in state governance and administration, and further deepen cooperation between the two countries in various fields, so as to better benefit the two peoples.
