Beijing, June 11th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today the international symposium on "resplendence and mission: the centenary of the Communist Party of China and the World" and delivered a speech at Renmin University of China.

Guo Yezhou said that the history of the centurial strive, theoretical exploration, and construction of the CPC is also the history of the unremitting efforts and continuous new contributions for human progress of the CPC, which is of great and far-reaching significance to the world. The centenary history of the CPC has opened a new realm for socialist development, injected new impetus into the development of world political parties, developed a new path for national modernization, and led a new direction for the development of international relations. The significance of the centenary of the CPC is concentrated in the theoretical innovation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, is reflected in the whole process of the Party leading the people in the great struggles, building grand projects, advancing great causes, and fulfilling the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. It will be further manifested in the new journey of building a modern socialist country. On the occasion of centenary of the CPC, the international symposium held by Renmin University of China is of special significance. It is hoped that friendly political parties from all countries, especially the communist parties and left-wing parties, can work together with the CPC at this historical moment of profound and complex changes in the international landscape, to strengthen dialogue and lead the right way in the world amid changes unseen in a century hand in hand.

The conference is jointly hosted by the School of Marxism Studies of Renmin University of China, the CPPS of Renmin University of China, and the Academic Association for International Cultural Exchange (AAICE) etc. The conference summarized the efforts of the century, achievements and experience of the CPC in governing and administering the party and the country and looked forward to the development prospects of Marxist theory and practice in the 21st century. Representatives of the Communist Party of South Africa, the Communist Party of Cuba, the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), the Communist Party of Brazil, the Workers' Party Brazil, the Communist Party of Argentina, and other political parties, as well as domestic and foreign experts and scholars, attended the conference.
