Beijing, June 17— Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed here today the closing ceremony of the webinar for the think tanks and media of the Gulf Arab States. More than 20 representatives from ten think tanks, including Centre for Research & Intercommunication Knowledge, Al Arabiya Channel, the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, Qatar Arab Centre for Research & Policy studies, Kuwait News Agency, and Bahrain TV, attended and delivered speeches at the ceremony.

Zhu Rui made positive comments on China-Arab relations, saying that the CPC would like to take the 40th anniversary of China’s ties with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with think tanks and media of Gulf Arab states, intensify mutual learning on concepts, policy communication, media cooperation, friendly exchanges between the people, and work for new and greater development of China-Arab relations. Zhu Rui also introduced the governance achievements and experience of the CPC, in combination with the centenary of the CPC, hoping that the think tanks and media of the Gulf states could give full play to the unique advantages of the media of the Arab world and play an active role in well telling the stories of China and the Gulf region, China-Arab friendship and the stories of China and the CPC to the Gulf region and the Middle East.

Representatives from the think tanks and media of the Gulf Arab states warmly congratulated on the centenary of the CPC, spoke positively of the CPC leading the Chinese people to achieve national independence and prosperity over the past 100 years, and highly appreciated the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and the Belt and Road Initiative put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and emphasized the importance they attach to the exchanges and cooperation with the CPC. They are willing to work with China to promote the relations between the Gulf region and China and the Belt and Road cooperation for more positive results. The Gulf Arab think tanks and media are willing to introduce China's current development and domestic and foreign policies to the Arab people from a more objective and comprehensive perspective, so as to contribute to the enhancement of mutual understanding and friendship between the people of the Gulf region and China.
