Beijing, June 23rd—Diplomatic envoys from four socialist countries of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Vietnam, Laos, and Cuba to China visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China and an exhibition themed on “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind” at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) as the first group of foreign guests. The items on exhibition included a model of the red boat on Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. The envoys learned the history of the CPC, and how the CPC made unremitting struggle without fearing of sacrifice, made theoretical explorations, delivered benefits to the people and made self-construction. They also exchanged views on the original aspirations and missions as communists.

Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the IDCPC said that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the CPC, which is not only a major event in the history of the CPC, but also a major event in the history of the development of world socialism. On June 18th, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the exhibition themed on “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”, and led the CPC leaders to review the Party admission oath. China, DPRK, Vietnam, Laos, and Cuba are all socialist countries led by communist party. The CPC has maintained long-term friendly and cooperative relations with communist party of the four countries. Today’s event fully demonstrates the great importance China attaches to developing relations with socialist countries, and the traditional friendship featuring mutual affinity of the socialist countries that treat each other with all sincerity.

DPRK's Ambassador to China Ri Ryong Nam expressed that the centenary of the CPC has fully proved that only the leadership of the CPC and the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics are the most correct choice and guarantee for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. He firmly believes that under the strong leadership of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries, and with the joint efforts of both sides, the friendship between DPRK and China will be further consolidated and developed, and the cause of socialist construction in the two countries will always be prosperous.

Lao Ambassador to China Khamphao Ernthavanh said the CPC adheres to the combination of the basic principles of Marxism with the realities of China, and constantly develops and innovates its guiding ideology, which provides scientific and theoretical guidance for revolution, construction, and reform. She firmly believes that under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the CPC will surely lead the Chinese people to continuously break new ground in the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.

Cuban Ambassador to China Carlos Miguel Pereira said that General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the World Symposium for Marxist Parties hosted by the IDCPC which the envoys have attended recently, giving important instructions on promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. It fully reflects the broad mind and great vision of General Secretary Xi Jinping, and the sense of responsibility and mission of the CPC. He believes that the 100th anniversary of the CPC will surely open the glorious chapter of the great victory of the CPC and the world socialist movement.

Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai and Pham Trung Nghia, counselor from Embassy of Vietnam in China said that this visit is a journey to understand the history of the CPC. Vietnam and China are both socialist countries under the leadership of the communist party, sharing many identical and similar views on ideals and beliefs, missions, and governance concepts. It is hoped that both sides will strengthen theoretical discussions and experience sharing on issues of common concern in the future, and further enrich the theoretical accumulation and practical results of the cause of socialism.
