Beijing, June 28th—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon with Rudolf Scharping, former Chairman of Social Democratic Party of Germany and CEO of RSBK, who was in China for a visit. Both sides exchanged views on China-Germany and China-Europe relations as well as the current regional and international situation.

Shen Beili pointed out, as multilateralism is under attack and the COVID-19 epidemic is still raging through the world, China, Germany and Europe should work together to push cooperation in all fields to a new high.

Scharping said, the great achievements made by the Communist Party of China in the past 100 years have attracted worldwide attention. The channels of inter-party exchanges play an important role in promoting economic cooperation between China and Germany and between China and Europe.
