Li Mingxiang Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Webinar for Senior Cadres of Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU–PF)

Beijing, July 15th—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended here today the opening ceremony of the webinar for senior cadres of Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) and delivered a speech. Guo Shaochun, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, and Martin Chedondo, Zimbabwean Ambassador to China attended the ceremony.

Li Mingxiang congratulated on the opening of the webinar, thanked the Zimbabwean side for sending a high-profile delegation to the CPC and World Political Parties Summit and for sending a congratulatory letter to honor the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.  Li highlighted the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech made on July 1st and said that the Chinese side is willing to work with the ZANU-PF to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Emmerson Mnangagwa, explore new ways to enhance exchanges and cooperation between both parties, promote anti-epidemic and practical cooperation between the two countries, and make new contributions to the building of both a community with a shared future for mankind and a better world.

Bima, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and Member of Secretariat of ZANU-PF, warmly congratulated the CPC on the 100th anniversary in his speech, spoke highly of the brilliant achievements the CPC has made over the past century and sincerely thanked China for its long-standing support to Zimbabwe, especially the assistance in fighting against the pandemic. He said that the ZANU-PF is willing to further deepen exchanges of experience on governance with the CPC, learn from China’s successful experience in poverty alleviation and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields to benefit the people of both countries.
