Beijing, August 25th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the webinar for the cadres of the Cambodian People’s Party. Guo spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries. Guo said, the Chinese side is willing to work with the Cambodian People’s Party to deepen exchanges and cooperation and promote the building of a community with a shared future for China and Cambodia. Guo also elaborated on China's position on COVID-19 origin-tracing.

Cheam Sophal, Vice Chairman of Cambodian People's Party, warmly congratulated on the centenary of the CPC. He expected to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between the two Parties and push Cambodia-China relations to new highs. The Cambodian People’s Party spoke highly of China’s active international cooperation in the fight against COVID-19, and thanked China for providing Cambodia with a large number of anti-epidemic materials and vaccines. He emphasized that China has always upheld an open and transparent attitude on the international cooperation in COVID-19 origin-tracing in a scientific and objective spirit. Cambodia opposes a handful of countries, including the United States, which scapegoat and blame China under the pretext of origin-tracing, and will continue to support China’s positions and views on COVID-19 origin-tracing.
