Chen Zhou Holds a Video Call with Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister

Beijing, November 5th—Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call here today on the afternoon with Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister.

Chen spoke positively of the relations between the two parties and two countries, and said the Chinese side is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with major political parties of Nepal, including the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), on the basis of a new type of political party relationship characterized by mutual respect, mutual learning, and seeking common ground while setting aside differences, so as to push for the healthy and stable development of China-Nepal relations. The CPC is about to hold the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC National Congress to summarize the achievements and experience of the CPC over the past 100 years. The Chinese side is willing to, together with the Nepali side, strengthen experience exchanges on state governance and administration to realize common development. Chen mainly introduced the Global Development Initiative put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, true multilateralism and whole-process people’s democracy.

Nepal spoke positively of the achievements of the CPC over the past 100 years, congratulated the CPC on the upcoming Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC National Congress, and expected to learn in an in-depth way the precious experience of China on promoting the adaptation of Marxism to suit China and staying vibrant and resilient through party building. Nepal said, the Nepali side will always adhere to the One China principle, and will by no means allow any force to use its territory for separatist activities against China. The Nepali side is willing to, together with the Chinese side, champion true multilateralism, support each other on following a development path suited to respective national conditions, so as to contribute to the common development of the two countries and mankind.
