Qian Hongshan Holds a Video Conversation with Stefanos Stefanou, General Secretary of the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus

Beijing, November 24th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video conversation here today on the afternoon with Stefanos Stefanou, General Secretary of the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus.

Qian Hongshan spoke highly of relations between the two Parties and mainly introduced the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. He said that held at a major historical juncture, the session carries great historical significance. The session comprehensively summarized the major achievements and historical experience of the CPC over the past 100 years, particularly the historical achievements, transformation and new experience of the causes of the CPC and the country in the new era. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core, the CPC will stay true to its original aspiration and founding mission of seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation. The CPC will always stand on the right side of history, on the side of human progress, and always be a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development and a defender of the international order.

Stefanou thanked the Chinese side for the briefing, and said that the CPC led all the Chinese people to open up the right path for achieving rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, secured extraordinary historical achievements on the glorious journey over the past century, and brought socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era, which is of great theoretical and practical significance. China made important contributions to world peace and development. The Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC and contribute to the development of Cyprus-Chinarelations and Europe-China relations.
