Beijing, November 25th—The second thematic conference on sustainable development of the China-Russia Political Parties Forum was held here today via video link. Representatives of the two Parties of China and Russia and representatives at local level including Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Yuri Shuvalov, Adviser of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the All-Russian Forum "Sustainable Development" , and Veronika Krasheninnikova, Member of the United Russia’s Supreme Council, were present.

Qian mainly introduced General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition of sustainable development, and introduced the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee in an in-depth manner. He said, the CPC is willing to make concerted efforts with the United Russia, actively push the integration of development strategies of the two countries, deepen practical cooperation and cooperation at local level, and jointly push the progress of global cooperation, so as to make greater contributions to promoting China-Russia relations in the new era.

Shuvalov and other representatives of the Russian side spoke positively of the global significance of the sixth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee on China and the world, highly commended China’s huge achievements in economic and social development under the leadership of the CPC, and introduced Russia’s policies and practices in promoting sustainable development in an in-depth way. He expected that the ruling parties of Russia and China will strengthen integration of development strategies and communication in concept, so as to advance bilateral cooperation in various areas for more fruits.
