Beijing--Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here recently "the CPC and a new model for human advancement”-- a symposium on the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee, and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

The symposium was co-organized by the IDCPC and Renmin University of China. Zhang Donggang, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Renmin University of China, attended the opening ceremony. Ye Xiaowen, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Culture, History and Learning Committee, former Party Secretary of the Central Institute of Socialism and former Director General of the National Religious Affairs Administration; Jiang Hui, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Director of the Institute of Contemporary China Studies; Li Junru, former Vice-President of the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC; Chen Jin, Member of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee and former Deputy Director of the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee; and Han Qingxiang, professor at the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC (National Academy of Governance), former member of the administration committee of the school as well as the leading expert of a expert workshop of the school, and member of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, delivered keynote speeches. A total of more than 300 representatives from domestic colleges, universities and think tanks participated in the conference online and offline.
