Beijing, December 21st－Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning at request with Alenka Suhadolnik, Slovenian Ambassador to China.

Speaking positively of China-Slovenia relations, Qian expressed the Chinese side’s willingness to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Slovenia next year and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) as opportunities to promote the continuous and in-depth development of China-Slovenia relations and China-CEEC cooperation, and contribute to the stable development of China-European Union (EU) comprehensive strategic partnership. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the major political parties in Slovenia to elevate bilateral relations to new highs.

Suhadolnik briefed on Slovenia’s work as the rotating EU presidency and wished the Beijing Winter Olympics a complete success. She expressed that Slovenia is ready to continue to deepen cooperation in various fields between the two countries and propel the continuous development of China-CEEC cooperation and EU-China relations.
