Beijing, December 30th--An online briefing on Xinjiang-related issues organized by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) was held here today. Leaders of 33 political parties and social organizations from 15 Middle East countries were present.

Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC, said at the briefing that, the United States recently signed the so-called "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act" into law, which has grossly interfered in China's internal affairs and seriously violated international law and basic norms governing international relations. China deplores and firmly rejects this. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, Xinjiang has enjoyed economic developmentandsocial stability. People of all ethnic groups have lived and worked in peace and contentment. Xinjiang is in the best development period in history. The US side keeps using Xinjiang-related issues to create rumors and make troubles. Essentially it is engaging in political manipulation and economic coercion, and seeking to undermine Xinjiang’s prosperity and stability and contain China’s development under the pretext of human rights. The US not only has problems of human trafficking and forced labor, but also uses "democracy" and "human rights" as excuses to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and seek hegemony, which has brought serious disasters to the people in the Middle East. China appreciates and thanks the political parties and social organizations in the Middle East for firmly supporting China's position on Xinjiang-related issues, and is willing to further strengthen mutual support, jointly oppose hegemonism and power politics, and jointly safeguard international fairness and justice and the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries.

Xu Guixiang, Spokesman of People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, briefed onsocial stability, economic development, improvement of people’s livelihood, cultural prosperity, ethnic unity, religious harmony, and full employment of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang since the 18th CPC National Congress. Xu added that the deeds concerning Xinjiang of the United States and other Western anti-China forces have no legal basis, no factual basis, no justice and morality. They are blatant acts of bullying and are sheer gangster logic.

Leaders of political parties and social organizations strongly condemned the United States’ signing into law of the so-called "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act" and opposed the so-called "forced labor", "genocide" and other vicious lies by the United States under the banner of "human rights". They stressed that the US is notorious for selling slaves and bullying Indians, resulting in large-scale forced labor and abuse of child labor. The United States has a deplorable track record of misdeeds in military intervention in other countries and undermining world peace and stability. It has no right to make irresponsible remarks on the human rights situation in China, especially in Xinjiang. Political parties and social organizations in the Middle East highly appraised the CPC’s adherence to the people-centered development concept and the remarkable achievements of the CPC in leading Xinjiang’s economic and social development, and in effectively guaranteeing the equal rights and freedom of religious belief of all ethnic groups. They firmly supported the CPC in leading the Chinese people to resolutely oppose foreign interference and defeat the US’s scheme of containing China with the Xinjiang issue to ensure the long-term prosperity and stability of Xinjiang, continue to promote the great cause of national rejuvenation, and benefit the people of all countries in the world, including the Middle East countries.
