Beijing, February 5th--Zoran Tegeltija, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Member of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), met here today with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Warmly congratulating on the complete success of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, Tegeltija said, in the face of the COVID-19 and many other challenges, the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games kicked off in spectacular fashion in China, leaving an unforgettable impression on everyone. He spoke highly of the relations between the two countries and thanked China for its support and assistance for Bosnia and Herzegovina's fight against the epidemic. Tegeltija congratulated the CPC on its glorious journey over the past century, and said that the great development achievements China made under the leadership of the CPC and the important ideological concepts put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping have provided valuable experience in state governance and administration for political parties in other countries in the world. The 20th CPC National Congress to be held this year will not only be of great importance to China and the CPC, but also be of great significance to the whole world. The SNSD attaches great importance to its relations with the CPC and is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, and promote cooperation between the two countries in various fields to better benefit the two peoples.

Song welcomed Tegeltija, who came to China to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and thanked Bosnia and Herzegovina for its strong support for China in hosting the Winter Olympics. Song said, since the outbreak of the COVID-19, the two heads of state have exchanged letters, sending a positive signal of joining hands to fight the epidemic and expressing the firm willingness to help each other and overcome the difficulties together. With the joint efforts of both sides, cooperation between the two countries has bucked the trend. Both sides have continued cooperation in energy, infrastructure construction and other fields and achieved practical results in cooperation in agriculture, tourism, and innovation. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of China-CEEC cooperation. China is willing to work with Bosnia and Herzegovina to promote greater development of China-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations and China-CEEC cooperation and make active efforts to promote the building of a new type of international relations and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Song noted, the CPC attaches great importance to the development of friendly and cooperative relations with major political parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is ready to expand friendly exchanges between the two sides, strengthen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration, promote the integration of development strategies of the two countries, push forward practical cooperation in various fields, and support think tanks, youth and women's organizations in carrying out extensive exchanges and cooperation. Efforts should be made to enhance mutual understanding, consolidate traditional friendship, and consolidate the social and public opinion foundation of friendship between the two countries.
