Beijing, February 23rd—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held here today a video call with Arlette Marenco Meza, representative of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua.

Speaking positively of the relations between the two countries and the two Parties, Shen said, the CPC attaches great importance to the traditional friendship between the ruling parties of the two countries, and is willing to take the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Nicaragua as an opportunity to continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation with the FSLN, and promote steady and healthy development of relations between our two countries through party-to-party exchanges.

Marenco noted, having the same ideals and beliefs as the CPC, FSLN has played a positive role in promoting the development of Nicaragua-China relations for a long time. Under the new situation, the FSLN hopes to further intensify friendly exchanges between the two Parties, and jointly promote the stable and long-term development of Nicaragua-China relations.
