Beijing, March 24th—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), held a video call here today on the afternoon with Samba Sy, General Secretary of the Independence and Labor Party of Senegal.

Li Mingxiang said that China attaches great importance to the development of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries. The CPC is willing to formally establish inter-party relations with the Independence and Labor Party on the basis of the four principles guiding inter-party relations, strengthen the exchange of experience and mutual learning in state governance and administration between the two Parties, carry out various forms of friendly exchanges, jointly implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Macky Sall, and promote faster and better implementation of the outcomes of the Eighth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) to benefit the peoples of Senegal, China, and Africa. Li mainly introduced the major achievements and historical experiences of the CPC over the past century, especially the great achievements made since the 18th CPC National Congress. He emphasized that the CPC in the new era upholds the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, promotes the adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times, adheres to a people-centered development philosophy, and independently follows the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Samba Sy said he sincerely admires the great development achievements the Chinese people have made and the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics the Chinese people have successfully blazed under the leadership of the CPC. The Independence and Labor Party and the CPC are Marxist parties. The Independence and Labor Party is willing to learn the successful experience of party building, official training and poverty alleviation from the CPC, and work with the CPC to safeguard international peace and justice and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
