Beijing, March 24th—The fourth theory seminar between the CPC and the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) concluded. Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, Member of the Secretariat of the PCC Central Committee and Head of the Department of Attention to the Social Sector of the PCC Central Committee, attended and addressed the function.

Song said, under the care and guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping and Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the PCC Central Committee, China-Cuba relations are at the best in history. Both the CPC and the PCC have opened a brand new landscape of inter-party exchanges that is multi-tiered and involves a wide range of areas. General Secretary Xi Jinping and Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the PCC Central Committee, have sent congratulatory messages to the seminar respectively, charting the course for the future development of the relations between the two Parties and offering major principles that both Parties must abide in strengthening experience exchange of state governance and administration.

Song stressed, the Chinese side will firmly support Cuba in following a socialist path suitable to its national conditions as always, and support Cuba’s just struggles of safeguarding national sovereignty and opposing power politics and interference. The CPC is willing to, together with the PCC, well implement the important consensus of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, actively give play to inter-party exchange’s motivating role for the development of the relations between our two countries, and make greater contributions to promoting China-Cuba relations in the new era, adapting Marxism to the needs of our times and the contexts of both countries, as well as promoting socialist cause in the world.

Broche said, both Parties have had in-depth discussions on topics such as party management and governance. The fruitful results of the discussions are another proof of the vitality of socialism. Party-to-party relationship is an important pillar and the most essential attribute of Cuba-China relations, providing political guidance for the development of Cuba-China relations. Implementing the important consensus of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries is the political guarantee for both sides to conduct dialogues, enhance political mutual trust, deepen cooperation in various areas, and support each other on international and regional issues. The CPC is an example of the PCC. It is believed that under the leadership of Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the PCC Central Committee, and General Secretary Xi Jinping, Cuba and China will make greater achievements in the building of socialist causes respectively.
