Shen Beili Attends the Opening Ceremony of Webinar for Young Cadres of Political Parties in the Caribbean Countries

Beijing, March 29th—Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, together with Everly Paul Chet Greene, Chair of Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Trade of Antigua and Barbuda, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the webinar for young cadres of political parties in the Caribbean countries. More than 50 young cadres from 19 political parties in nine countries in the Caribbean region attended the event via videolink.

Speaking positively of friendly cooperation and inter-party exchanges between China and the Caribbean countries, Shen expressed the CPC’s willingness to, together with political parties in Caribbean countries, continuously improve bilateral and multilateral exchange mechanisms, enrich the connotation of exchanges and cooperation, and jointly build a new type of political party relationship featuring seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect, and mutual learning, so as to promote the continuous and in-depth development of the relations between China and the Caribbean countries

Greene thanked China for its selfless assistance to the Caribbean countries in their fight against the COVID-19, and expressed that the political parties of the Caribbean countries are willing to strengthen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration with the CPC, enhance friendly cooperation in various fields, and jointly elevate the relations between the Caribbean countries and China to new highs.
