Song said that in recent years, under the personal guidance and vigorous promotion of General Secretary Xi Jinping and Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), China-Cambodia relations have maintained high-level development, setting an example of sincere cooperation between countries with different systems. The CPC attaches great importance to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the CPP, and is willing to work with the Cambodian side to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties, deepen political mutual trust, and promote cooperation in fighting the epidemic, economy, trade, and people-to-people and cultural engagement, so as to better benefit the two countries and peoples. Song introduced the main work experience of the CPC in training and selecting young cadres, saying that the Chinese side supports the youth and publicity departments of the two Parties to learn from each other, and carry forward traditional friendship, so as to continuously promote the in-depth development of the relations between the two countries.

Song said that given the profound and complicated changes in the current international situation, General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2022, proposing for the first time the Global Security Initiative that provides a Chinese solution to international security challenges. The Chinese side firmly supports the governance of the CPP, supports Cambodia in following an independent development path that suits its national conditions, and is committed to working with the Cambodian side to promote the building of a community with a shared future, promote the development of the relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), implement the Global Security Initiative, and contribute to the peaceful development in the region and the world.

Hun Manet congratulated China on eliminating extreme poverty for the first time in history, building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, achieving the first centenary goal, and embarking on a new journey towards the second centenary goal under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core. Hun Manet said that the Cambodian side thanked the Chinese side for its strong support in the fields including fighting the epidemic and infrastructure construction, and hoped to make good use of the China-Cambodia Free Trade Agreement and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to deepen cooperation between the two sides in economy, trade, agriculture and other fields. The CPP values its friendship with the CPC. The CPP is willing to join hands with the CPC to strengthen the experience exchange in state governance and administration, jointly train young cadres from both Parties, and enhance mutual understanding and trust, in a bid to carry forward the friendly relations between the two countries. As Cambodia holds the rotating chairmanship of ASEAN, Cambodia will actively promote the development of ASEAN-China relations to jointly maintain peace and stability in the region.
