Li Mingxiang Attends the Webinar for Marxist Political Parties in China and Africa

Beijing, April 27th—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today the webinar for Marxist political parties in China and Africa themed on "adapting Marxism to the local context and the needs of our times" and delivered a speech. More than 40 representatives from eight Communist parties and Marxist parties in Africa attended the webinar, including Mathlako, Second Deputy General Secretary of the South African Communist Party and Convenor of the African Left Networking Forum.

Li mainly briefed on the glorious course and main experience of the CPC in promoting the adaption of Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times, especially the essence and global significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. He said, the Chinese side is willing to, together with Marxist political parties in Africa, strengthen solidarity and coordination, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and jointly champion fairness and justice, in a bid to serve the development of the causes of our Parties and benefit our peoples.

Mathlako thanked China for holding the webinar, and spoke highly of the latest achievement in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times—Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. He said, the South African Communist Party and the left-wing forces in Africa are willing to work with the CPC to further deepen exchanges and mutual learning in theoretical innovation and jointly meet the current global challenges.
