Beijing, May 18th—The International Department of the CPC Central Committee held here today a webinar for cadres of the Gabonese Democratic Party themed on strengthening governing capability and consolidating the Party’s governing position. Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Éloi Nzondo, Deputy Secretary General of the Gabonese Democratic Party, attended and addressed the function. Twenty mid-level and senior cadres of the Gabonese Democratic Party, Baudelaire Ndong Ella, Ambassador of Gabon to China, and Tong Xinping, Chargé d'affaires, a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Gabon, and others were present.

Li introduced the CPC’s experience and practices of strengthening governing capability in the new era, and stressed that the key to doing China’s own affairs well is the CPC, and strengthening CPC’s governing capability is of vital importance for the general picture of causes of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Li said, the CPC is willing to, together with the Gabonese Democratic Party, deepen experience exchange in state governance and administration, carry out friendly exchanges in various forms, reinforce solidarity and cooperation on international affairs, well implement the important consensus of General Secretary Xi Jinping and Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba, and push China-Gabon comprehensive cooperative partnership to new highs.

Nzondo spoke highly of the great achievements of CPC’s governance in the new era, and said that the Gabonese Democratic Party is willing to further strengthen exchange and cooperation with the CPC, learn the experience of state governance and administration from the Chinese side, and strive to enhance its own governing capability.
