Tanzania, May 25th—Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School held here today this year’s seminar for middle-aged and young cadres of the six parties in southern Africa themed on “new development in the new era: exploration and communication of the CPC and the six parties in southern Africa”. A total of 120 middle-aged and young cadres of Tanzania's Chama Cha Mapinduzi Party, the African National Congress of South Africa, the Mozambique Liberation Front Party, the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola, the SWAPO Party of Namibia and the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front were present. Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), and Daniel Chongolo, Secretary General of Tanzania's Chama Cha Mapinduzi Party, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the seminar via video link.

Song said, the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School was completed and put into operation in February of this year. General Secretary Xi Jinping sent congratulatory letters to the top leaders of the six parties respectively, expressing his earnest expectation of the construction and development of the school. The seminar is a tangible measure of implementing the important consensus of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the top leaders of the six parties. The seminar aims to make good use of the school, jointly discuss what kind of development the ruling parties should lead their countries to strive for, and how they are going to realize it in the new era, in a bid to enable the six parties to cultivate talents of the new era, and better cope with challenges and benefit their peoples. The CPC and the six parties enjoy a long-term friendship and share similar concepts. In the face of the changes and the pandemic both unseen in a century, the CPC is ready to strengthen experience exchange in state governance and administration with the six parties, promote practical cooperation in various areas, practice true multilateralism, jointly oppose hegemony and power politics, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests and overall interests of developing countries, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. It is hoped that the youth of China and Africa will actively participate in the "Nine Projects" of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the high-quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation between China and Africa, contribute their strengths to the building of a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future, and carry forward the spirit of China-Africa friendship and cooperation from generation to generation.

Song emphatically introduced the key judgment about the “five paths China must take” General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed during this year’s Two Sessions. Song said, since the 18th CPC National Congress, historical achievements and transformations have been made in the causes of the CPC and China. These achievements and transformations are attributable to the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core of the CPC Central Committee and the core of the whole Party, and the scientific guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era more than anything else. General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed a community with a shared future for mankind, advocated the high-quality development of the Belt and Road cooperation, and put forward the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, offering Chinese wisdom and solutions to the problems facing mankind. China will stay committed to a peaceful road of development, open wider to embrace the world, and provide the world with new opportunities with its own development. He also briefed on the important spirit of the speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the grand event marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China.

Chongolo thanked the CPC for the precious support in the construction of the school and great help in organizing the seminar. He said, amid the profound changes in the international landscape, the seminar offers a very good platform for the six parties in southern Africa to enhance governing capabilities and cultivating middle-aged and young cadres in particular, and helps the six parties cope with challenges of their own and their countries, as well as lead their peoples to better construct their countries. The six parties cherish their traditional friendship with the CPC, and wholeheartedly admire the remarkable achievements China has made under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core. They hoped to learn experience in developing economy, creating jobs, scientific and technological innovation, environmental protection and fighting corruption from the CPC, and build a closer China-Africa community with a shared future together with the Chinese side.
