Beijing, May 25th—The International Department of the CPC Central Committee held a video exchange event here today themed on "My Impression: the CPC in the New Era".Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the event and delivered a keynote speech. About 40 people attended the event, including Robert Griffiths, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain, Ella Rule, Chair of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist), Andy Brooks, General Secretary of the New Communist Party of Britain, Keith Bennett and Carlos Martinez, Co-editors of Friends of Socialist China, and Jacob Maseyk of Young Communist League of Britain.

Guo introduced the historic achievements and the historic shifts in the causes of the CPC and China made under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core since the 18th CPC National Congress. He said that the CPC will hold the 20th CPC National Congress in the second half of the year, which is a very important congress held at an important moment when the CPC is embarking on a new journey toward fully building a modern socialist country and achieving the second centenary goal. The CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the progressive forces in the UK, jointly advance the cause of human progress and work together to build a better world.

The leaders of the British Marxist parties and left-wing organizations told their stories on "the CPC in the new era". They spoke highly of the world significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and the great achievements the Chinese people have made under the leadership of the CPC since the 18th CPC National Congress. They wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success. They hoped that the British Marxist parties and left-wing organizations could strengthen solidarity and cooperation with the CPC and make greater contributions to maintaining world peace and stability as well as promoting human development and progress.
