Beijing, June 9th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a video call here today with Liam Byrne, UK Labour Party Member of Parliament.

Guo elaborated in an in-depth manner the great significance of the 20th CPC National Congress to be held in the second half of this year. He briefly reviewed the development of China-UK relations and stressed that both sides should strengthen dialogue, focus on cooperation and properly handle differences. He said, the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with all the political parties in the UK to promote the long-term and stable development of China-UK relations.

Byrne wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success. He said, the British side is willing to work together with China to strengthen exchanges, enhance understanding, focus on cooperation and jointly push forward the development of bilateral relations.
