Beijing, June 16th—Zhu Rui, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the webinar for cadres of Union for the Republic of Mauritania here today. Ali Issa, Executive board member of Union for the Republic, led 20 mid-level and senior cadres of Union for the Republic of Mauritania to attend the webinar.

Speaking positively of the relations between the two countries and two Parties, Zhu said, our two countries have always firmly supported each other on issues concerning respective core interests and major concerns, and set an example of mutual respect, unity and cooperation between developing countries. He stressed that the CPC attaches importance to developing friendly and cooperative relations with Union for the Republic. The CPC is willing to, together with Union for the Republic, give play to the political guiding role of exchanges between ruling parties, further consolidate political mutual trust, boost practical cooperation, deepen concept exchange, strengthen media cooperation, and push China-Mauritania relations for constant development. Zhu mainly briefed the Mauritanian side on the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping.

Issa highly praised the great development achievements the Chinese people have made under the leadership of the CPC, spoke positively of the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, and thanked the Chinese side for the selfless help and support in areas such as development and anti-epidemic. Issa said, Union for the Republic is ready to enhance the friendly exchanges with the CPC, further enrich the connotation of the exchanges between the two Parties, learn the advanced concept and experience from the CPC in an in-depth way, continue Party building, particularly the building of governing capacity, and constantly improve the level of state governance and administration, so as to make greater contributions to the development of Mauritania-China relations.
