From July 10th to 13th, Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Nepal and met with Bidya Devi Bhandari, Nepali President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of Nepal and President of Nepali Congress Party, Prachanda and KP Sharma Oli, left-wing leaders and former prime ministers of Nepal and major leaders of other political parties respectively.
Liu said, the Chinese side is willing to work with all political parties of Nepal to implement the important consensus reached between both sides during General Secretary Xi Jinping’s visit to Nepal in 2019, continuously consolidate our traditional friendship, enhance political mutual trust and push China-Nepal relations for constant development.
The Nepali side said, the political parties of Nepal share a high degree of consensus on developing friendly relations with China. Nepal resolutely adheres to the one-China principle, and will not allow any force to use Nepal’s territory for anti-China activities.
