Li Mingxiang Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Webinar for Senior Cadres of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front

Beijing, July 26th—Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and addressed here today the opening ceremony of the webinar for senior cadres of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front(ZANU-PF) via video link together with D. Parirenyatwa, member of politburo and secretary for health of the ZANU-PF.

Li spoke positively of the ZANU-PF’s efforts in exploring a development path suitable to its national conditions, mainly introduced the achievements and experience of the CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping as the core in pushing the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics to the new era. Li briefed on the upcoming the 20th CPC National Congress and actively introduced the fourth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China". He said that the CPC is willing to further deepen communication and mutual learning with the ZANU-PF, strengthen practical cooperation, jointly promote fairness and justice, and develop and prosper together.

Parirenyatwa spoke positively of the achievements and experience of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success. He said, in leading Zimbabwe to explore an independent development path with Zimbabwe’s characteristics, the ZANU-PF is willing to learn the successful experience from the CPC in an in-depth way, lead Zimbabwe-China cooperation to higher levels, and benefit the two peoples.

Themed on “theory and practice of ruling parties of China and Zimbabwe’s independent exploration of a development path”, the webinar was held online from July 26 to 27. 19 middle-level and senior cadres of the ZANU-PF attended the webinar.
