In his keynote speech, Liu Jianchao, Minister of the IDCPC, said that Marxism is a great creation in human history, which has greatly advanced the process of human civilization and is still a system of thought and discourse with great international influence. Today, there are hundreds of Marxist political parties with hundreds of millions of party members in the world, which are a powerful force. Marxist political parties in various countries have made diverse explorations and innovations to enrich and develop Marxism, and have made a series of exciting and important achievements, which fully demonstrate the scientific and truthful nature of Marxism and that the future of socialism is bright.

Liu stressed that the history of the CPC is a history of constantly adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the times. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the Chinese Communists mainly represented by Comrade Xi Jinping have created Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era based on new reality. Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era is contemporary Chinese Marxism and Marxism in the 21st century, and the essence of the times of Chinese culture and Chinese spirit, which has achieved a new leap in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context. Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era has given a new connotation to scientific socialism, expanded the new practice of Marxist stance of siding with the people, opened up a new realm of the theory of building a Marxist party, charted a new course for modernization, and provided a new solution to the global problems facing humanity. In the past 10 years, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, historic achievements and historic shifts are made in the causes of the Party and the country.

Liu said, nowadays, profound changes unseen in a century are evolving rapidly in the world. As a pioneering force in the struggle for human progress, Marxist political parties of all countries should, firmly uphold their ideals and beliefs and be the pioneers of faith in upholding the banner of Marxism; promote theoretical innovation and be the pioneers of thoughts in exploring advanced concepts; strengthen solidarity and cooperation and be the pioneers of justice in upholding international morality; promote people's well-being and be the pioneers of development in achieving common prosperity; and deepen exchanges and mutual learning and be the pioneers of the times in promoting the progress of civilization. The CPC is willing to work hand in hand with Marxist political parties of all countries to continuously enrich and develop Marxism and illuminate the road ahead for humanity with the light of truth.

Leaders of the political parties highly praised the CPC's adherence to Marxism as its guide for more than 100 years and its continuous efforts to promote the adaption of Marxism to the Chinese context. They agreed that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era is the latest achievement of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, which has led China to make remarkable development achievements. Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era has made a creative contribution to enriching the treasury of Marxism, with socialist China becoming a "locomotive" of human development. The participants expressed that China's success has greatly enhanced the confidence of Marxists around the world to continue to hold high the banner of Marxism and explore the path of development in line with their own national conditions. They expressed the willingness to deepen experience exchanges and mutual learning with the CPC in party building and state governance, strengthen theoretical discussions, continuously promote the adaption of Marxism to the national conditions and the times, facilitate unity and cooperation of the international community, safeguard the great cause of world peace and development, and join hands to build a community with a shared future for mankind. They wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success.
