Qian spoke positively of Toumazis' contributions to promoting China-Cyprus relations during his tenure and said, the Chinese side is ready to further strengthen inter-party dialogues and exchanges between our two countries, jointly push the development of China-Cyprus relations and deepen the friendship between the two peoples. Qian introduced relevant situation of the 20th CPC National Congress to be held in the second half of the year, and gave Toumazis the fourth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China".

Toumazis thanked the Chinese side for the help and support during his tenure in China. He said, the Cypriot side attaches great importance to developing its relations with China and strengthening cooperation in various areas between the two countries, and expressed the willingness to continue to contribute to the development of Cyprus-China relations in the future. He wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success.
