Phnom Penh, August 25th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Hun Manet, Member of the Permanent Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Chairman of the Youth Central Working Group of the CPP, and CPP's future Prime Minister candidate. The two sides reached broad consensus on passing on the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia, strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties, and deepening practical cooperation in various fields, especially in youth exchanges. They agreed that the two Parties should adhere to the purpose of seeking happiness for the people, and promote the building of the China-Cambodia community with a shared future to achieve more fruitful results, so as to benefit the two countries and two peoples, and promote regional peace, stability, development and prosperity.
