Liu Jianchao highly commended Prabowo and the Great Indonesia Movement Party for speaking up with a sense of justice for safeguarding regional peace and stability and the common interests shared by developing countries. Liu said that China and Indonesia are both major, influential developing countries. The Chinese side attaches great importance to China-Indonesia relations, and hopes that with the joint efforts of political parties and all sectors from both sides, and the guidance of significant consensus between the two heads of state, bilateral relations can enjoy a higher-level development. Inter-party relations constitute an important part of China-Indonesia relations. The 20th CPC National Congress will be convened on October 16 as planned, during which the CPC will plan goals, tasks, and major policies for the development of the causes of the CPC and China in the next five years and even further into the future. The CPC will, together with the Great Indonesia Movement Party, deepen friendly exchanges, strengthen strategic communication and mutual trust, and share experience in party governing and state administration, so as to promote the development of China and Indonesia and bilateral relations, and jointly promote regional peace, stability, development and prosperity.

Prabowo said that Indonesia regards China as a good friend and partner. Currently, China and Indonesia enjoy good momentum in the development of bilateral relations. The political parties, governments, armies, and many other sectors from both sides are deepening exchanges, injecting strong impetus into bilateral relations and Indonesia’s development. The Great Indonesia Movement Party cherishes the deep friendship with the CPC and admires the achievements and thoughts of the CPC’s governance. It highly appreciates that the CPC Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, has led the Chinese people to accomplish the historical feat of eradicating absolute poverty. Prabowo wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success. The Great Indonesia Movement Party, together with the CPC, will enhance experience exchanges in party governance and state administration, and cooperation in official training in order to improve capacity.
