Li spoke highly of the efforts made by the All Progressives Congress to Nigeria's development, and mainly introduced the great achievements and major experience in building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core. Li also introduced the upcoming 20th CPC National Congress and the recently published the fourth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China". Li said, the CPC is ready to, together with the All Progressives Congress, deepen experience exchange in state governance and administration, promote practical cooperation between China and Nigeria, jointly maintain world fairness and justice, and build the China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.

Faunter spoke highly of the remarkable development achievements that China has made under the leadership of General Secretary of CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping and their global influences. Faunter reaffirmed that the Nigerian side firmly abides by the one-China principle and wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success. He said that the All Progressives Congress of Nigeria is willing to further learn the successful experience from the CPC and boost China-Nigeria cooperation to a higher level, so as to benefit the Chinese and Nigerian people.
