Liu said, China and Cuba have progressed together in building socialism with our respective characteristics, supported each other on issues concerning our respective core interests, and set a model of unity and cooperation between developing countries. No matter how the international situation changes, China's commitment to its long-term friendship with Cuba will never change; and China's readiness to firmly carry out mutually beneficial cooperation will never change. China will support Cuba in pursuing a development path suitable to its national condition as always and in building a prosperous and sustainable socialist cause.

The CPC is willing to, together with the PCC, well implement the important consensus of the heads of the two Parties, strengthen high-level exchanges, consolidate political mutual trust, enhance experience exchange in party building and state governance, deepen cooperation between the counterpart departments of the two Parties and cooperation in think tanks and media, strengthen communication and coordination on international affairs, jointly push China-Cuba relations and the development of socialist causes, and contribute to peace, stability, development and prosperity of the region and the world.

Ángel Arzuaga Reyes said, Cuba and China have always supported each other over a long period of time and share a fraternal and profound friendship. The PCC attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with the CPC, and expects both sides to strengthen exchanges at all levels and strengthen exchanges and mutual learning on exploring socialist paths suitable to national conditions and promote cooperation in all fields. The Cuban side resolutely pursues the one-China principle, and firmly opposes all practices that interfere in China's domestic affairs. The Cuban side is willing to, together with the Chinese side, strengthen international cooperation, jointly champion national sovereignty and socialist system, boost international justice and fairness, and push the special friendship between Cuba and China for new development. Closely following the 20th CPC National Congress, the PCC wished it a complete success. Cuba firmly believes that the Chinese side will surely make greater achievements in the path of building socialism with Chinese characters.

Ángel Arzuaga Reyes extended heartfelt condolences to the Chinese side over the earthquake in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Luding County, China's Sichuan Province. Liu expressed gratitude for that.

Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the IDCPC, and Marsán Carlos Juan, Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of the PCC Central Committee, were present.
